Installation Note 39320: A warning message might appear if you do not use the same user ID during configuration that you used during installation of SAS 9.2
In UNIX operating environments, you must use the same user ID that you used to install SAS 9.2 when you configure your SAS products. In Windows operating environments, you are only required to be an administrator. (For more information about logging in as an administrator, see Usage Note 5055, "Administrator of the machine versus being part of the administrator group.") However, under Windows, you should use the original user ID as in the previous configuration of the product to prevent issues.
For example, under Windows, if you use a different user ID than the original ID, then you have to manually browse to the SAS configuration directory. Also, a warning message similar to the following appears in the sdw.log file:
WARNING: The current user (saszsr) is not the same user that
last installed to this
SAS Home location: Administrator
com.sas.ssn.PanelSASHome isValidUserID
For more information about configuring your SAS products, see "Configuring SAS Products" in the SAS 9.2 Intelligence Platform: Installation and Configuration Guide.
