Problem Note 39317: Invalid treatment surrogate keys are created when using Copy and Paste commands to create treatments in the SAS® Management Console Folders pane
The treatment surrogate keys are incorrect in the SAS® Customer Intelligence Reporting Common Data Model. The values are divided by 1000.
In the SAS Management Console Folders pane under SAS Folders ► Products ► SAS Customer Intelligence ► [Business Context name] ► [Treatments Folder], it is possible to create new treatments using the Copy and Paste commands. When the treatment is subsequently used in a campaign, invalid treatment surrogate keys will be created in the Reporting Common Data Model. This will cause data integrity problems within the Common Data Model and any reports that are written against it.
You might also see constraint vioaltion errors when publishing campaigns due to duplicate surrogate keys.
The only way to fix this problem if it happens is to manually rebuild the surrogate keys in the database, which is time consuming and difficult. Should this happen please contact SAS Technical Support for assistance.
To work around this problem, use the duplicate treatment functionality that is available in the SAS Customer Intelligence Studio Treatments Dialog (select View ► Treatments) instead of using the Copy and Paste commands in SAS Management Console.
