Problem Note 39255: Discontinuous (empty) bin splits in the Interactive Grouping node might occur when variables have negative values

In SAS® Enterprise Miner™, if you have an interval variable that has negative values, the Interactive Grouping node might return discontinuous bins in the Fine Detail tab.
In some cases, you can work around the problem by changing the Number of Bins property in the Interactive Grouping node to a value that is less than the default value of 20.
For example, suppose that you have a bin A that ranges from -5 to -3, and a bin B might that ranges from -2 to -1. In this case, any values between -3 and -2 will not have a bin, so you might need to try a smaller Number of Bins property value.
