Problem Note 39209: Use of parent totals might require more memory than the use of visual totals in OLAP-based reports
In many cases, the use of the parent totals results in faster response time for an OLAP query. However, the request might require additional memory. Additionally, if the set of members on the totaled axis is high due to many crossjoins or a few large cardinality levels, the performance of the parent totals will be noticeably slower than that of the visual totals.
