Problem Note 39204: Cannot save changes to VBA code in Microsoft Excel .xla files with SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
After the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office is installed, changes that you make to VBA code in an .xla file are not saved, even though the file appears to save correctly. When you restart Excel and reopen your .xla file, you see that the saved code changes do not appear.
When the Add-In is uninstalled or turned off, changes to .xla files are saved as expected.
Currently, the only workaround is to turn off the Add-In before updating your VBA code.
