Usage Note 39181: A configuration error might occur in the SASĀ® Web Report Studio log if an invalid path is specified for the -Djava.security.auth.login.config= option
A configuration error might occur if an invalid path or format is used to specify the
-Djava.security.auth.login.config= option in the file that is used to start the Web application server. The error, shown below, appears in the SAS Web Report Studio log:
CONFIGURATION ERROR: Cannot find file
(file:\D:\SAS\SASSolutionsConfig\Lev1\web\Deployments\Portal\login.config),
all user logons will probably fail.
In this case, the error occurs when an invalid syntax is used for the value of the -Djava.security.auth.login.config= option, as shown in the following example:
-Djava.security.auth.login.config=file:////D:/SAS/EBI/Lev1/web/Deployments/Portal/login.config
The correct syntax is as follows:
-Djava.security.auth.login.config=D:/SAS/EBI/Lev1/web/Deployments/Portal/login.config
This error does not appear to cause any problems with the execution of SAS Web Report Studio.
If you are using Oracle WebLogic as the Web application server, you need to make this change either in the startManagedWebLogic.cmd file or in the InstallManagedServerService.cmd file, depending on whether WebLogic is running as a Windows service.
If you are using Apache Tomcat as the Web application server, you need to make this change either in the startServletContainer.bat(sh) file or in the Install_Tomcat_Service.bat file, depending on whether Tomcat is running as a Windows Service or not.
If the Web Application Server is installed as a Windows service, you will need to delete the service and reinstall using the files mentioned above.
