Usage Note 38834: SAS® Enterprise Guide® inserts quotation marks around formatted numeric values during export to a text file
SAS Enterprise Guide inserts quotation marks around formatted numeric values when the values are exported to a delimited text file. This behavior is a change from SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1, which did not insert the quotation marks.
This change was made to ensure that the exported text is well-structured, even when formatted numeric values contain commas, spaces, and tabs. Those special characters can cause ambiguity, depending on which file type (comma delimited, space delimited, or tab delimited) is selected for the export.
To prevent SAS Enterprise Guide from inserting the quotation marks, select Tools ► Options ► Data ► Performance, and enable the option Include schema information when saving data in text format.
