Problem Note 38816: Text fields can be truncated when you export double-byte SAS® data from SAS/ACCESS® Interface to PC Files to Microsoft Access tables
Text fields can be truncated when you export Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and other double-byte SAS data to Microsoft Access tables. When this happens, the following error appears in the SAS log:
WARNING: During insert: : Data value violated the schema for
column (columname)
The problem occurs because the double-byte length is not used when the the text field is created in Microsoft Access.
There is no workaround for this problem.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Note: You must use the second maintenance release of SAS® 9.2 (TS2M2) along with the hot fix. No hot fix is available for earlier releases of SAS 9.2.
