Usage Note 38755: DATAPATH and INDEXPATH locations are randomly selected for aggregation files
With SAS® 9.2, the first location for an aggregation file or index is randomly selected from the INDEXPATH and DATAPATH options. This means that the distribution of the files will be different for each build. The benefit to this approach is that the files are more evenly distributed across disks, and the work done during the build is more evenly allocated.
