Problem Note 38698: SAS® Enterprise Guide® becomes unresponsive and the SAS® Workspace Server log grows extremely large
Your client session might become unresponsive when you submit uniquely constructed SQL query syntax in SAS Enterprise Guide or Base SAS® software. Although the SQL query runs, the SAS Workspace Server log grows to several gigabytes in size.
No error message appears in Base SAS or in SAS Enterprise Guide after you submit the unique query. However, the workspace-server log continues to grow until the SAS process is terminated.
This unresponsive behavior by the workspace server occurs only when the Object Server parameter APPLEVEL=2 is set for the SAS Workspace Server.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
Uniquely constructed SQL query syntax might cause the workspace-server log to grow infinitely when you enable application-level logging.
