Installation Note 38969: The SAS BI Portlets fail to deploy on Oracle WebLogic with the error "Return status: ${weblogic.deployEAR}"
During deployment to WebLogic, the SAS BI Portlets might fail with the following error message:
C:\Program Files\SAS\SASDeploymentManager\9.2\products\cfgwizard__92325__prt__xx__sp0__1\Utilities\
webAppAntTasks_weblogic.xml:1332: failed to deploy Ear sas.biportlets4.2.ear.
Return status: ${weblogic.deployEAR}
To resolve this problem:

Open the the WebLogic server-name.log file, which is located in SAS–configuration–diretory/WebLogic–home/user_projects/domains/domain–name/servers/managed–server–name/logs/server–name.log directory.
- Search for the following error message:
Could not instantiate bean class [com.sas.portlet.container.components.misc.impl.RMIRegistryCreatorImpl]:
Constructor threw exception; nested exception is java.rmi.server.ExportException: Port already in use: 9000;
nested exception is:
This error indicates that the RMI port is in already in use. To resolve the error, you must determine what
application is already using the port and either stop that application or reconfigure the SAS BI Portlets to use
another port number.
