Usage Note 38858: Managing personal folders for users who are deleted from metadata in SAS® 9.2
SAS Intelligence Platform clients use a hierarchy of SAS folders to store metadata. The hierarchy includes a personal folder that is created for each individual user.
Note: For more information, see
About the SAS Folder Structure.
The first time that a new user logs into an application that requires a home folder, a personal folder for that user is automatically created under SAS Folders ► Users. However, deleting a user does not delete that user's personal folder. The folder must be manually deleted by using SAS® Management Console.
Note: Only administrators should delete folders in SAS Management Console.
If the personal folder is not deleted and the same user is recreated in metadata, then a second personal folder is created the first time that the recreated user logs into an application. The second personal folder will have a (1) appended to the folder name. See sastest(1) in the following display.
