Problem Note 38832: Rows cannot be edited or inserted when you use the SAS® 9.2 ODBC Driver from an external tool
The following error might occur in a local edition of SAS® 9.2 when you use the SAS ODBC Driver (9.02.00.9225) to edit or insert data from an external tool:

The problem occurs when you use an external tool such as Microsoft Query (via Excel). There is no workaround for this problem.

When you use the SAS ODBC Driver(9.02.00.9225) from an external tool (for example, Microsoft Query), positional updates in existing columns might fail with the following error: "modify column on a table error: restricted data type attribute violation(-1)"
