Problem Note 38686: Executing a communication that exports a target audience fails with an "Input table is empty" error
When executing a SAS® Customer Intelligence communication that exports a target audience to a SAS® Digital Marketing broadcast, the export fails and the following error occurs in the SAS Digital Marketing log:
[INFO ] SAS Demo User s.analytics.crm.flow.MACommunicationNode -
Executing SDM Broadcast 'Broadcast name' using table SDM_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
INFO | jvm 1 | YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss | YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss,xx
[ERROR] SAS Demo User s.analytics.crm.flow.MACommunicationNode -
Error from SDM Webservice action:
ERROR: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
INFO | jvm 1 | YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss | java.rmi.RemoteException: Input table is empty.
The communication executes correctly but because of the error, any post-communication nodes that are in the campaign diagram will not execute. This problem occurs if the target audience for the communication does not contain any contacts.
To work around this problem, ensure that the target audience for the broadcast communication always contains at least one contact.
