Usage Note 38682: Metadata server connection error when logging on to SASĀ® Information Map Studio
If you attempt to log on to SAS Information Map Studio with an account that does not have a metadata identity as defined by using the User Manager plug-in to SAS® Management Console, you will see a connection error. The exact error depends on which version of SAS Information Map Studio you are running.
In version 3.1, you see the following error:
The Metadata server could not associate an identity with your connection
In version 4.2, you see the following error:
The user xxxx is not authorized to read metadata on server xxxxx
