Installation Note 38506: Oracle WebLogic fails to create a domain when you configure WebLogic via the SASĀ® Deployment Wizard
When you perform an automatic configuration of either Oracle WebLogic 9.2 or 10 via the SAS Deployment Wizard, you might receive the following error:
The temporary directory /var/tmp/wlstTemp is required by the WebLogic
configuration scripting. There are insufficient permissions to write
to this directory. Delete the directory and retry this step.
This error occurs if you log onto a server with a user account that does not have Write permission for the /tmp/wlstTemp directory.
To resolve this issue:
- Log onto the server with a user account that does have Write permission for the directory.
- Delete the original directory and retry that step in the configuration. The SAS Deployment Wizard will re-create the directory and its files with the appropriate access privileges.
