Usage Note 38393: NOMISS index support option removed from SASĀ® Scalable Performance Data Server
SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server allows you to create NOMISS indexes, but the server will never use a NOMISS index for any WHERE clause evaluation, join, or sort. The purpose of the the NOMISS option is to reduce the size of the index for tables that contain a large number of missing values. This, however, is not needed for SAS Scalable Performance Data Server indexes because bitmap indexes are used.
Starting with SAS Scalable Performance Data Server 4.4TSM10 and 4.5 TSM0, if the NOMISS=YES option is used, the option will be ignored and the following message written to the SAS log:
SPDS_WARNING: NOMISS option is ignored for SPD Indexes
SPDS_NOTE: Simple index X has been defined
