The filter tool in the Visual Data Explorer might not work if any of the level names in the map document are using uppercase or mixed case letters. A similar problem occurs when using the linking feature in SAS Web Report Studio. As a workaround, recreate the map document, and rename the levels that are used by the map service so that they are using all lowercase letters.
