Installation Note 38362: A "scripting-client-is-not-connected" message occurs when you deploy SAS® 9.2 Web applications via WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment
You might see the following message in the IBM WebSphere log when SAS 9.2 Web applications are deployed via the WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment:
WASX7357I: By request, this scripting client is not connected to any
server process. Certain configuration and application operations will
be available in local mode.
This message is merely informational, and it has no impact on the deployment of your SAS Web applications. The message simply indicates that certain configuration objects are not available to the WebSphere wsadmin client because no connection is made to the deployment manager.
This message is normal behavior if it occurs after the SAS® Deployment Wizard completes successfully. Certain functions (for example, setting up the port number and Java Virtual Machine arguments) for the WebSphere deployment manager do not require a connection to the deployment manager. If the SAS Deployment Wizard is in the process of creating the deployment-manager profile, the deployment manager has not been started yet. If an existing deployment-manager profile is being re-used, the SAS Deployment Wizard stops the deployment manager before it sets up these customizations. The customizations then take effect the next time you start the deployment manager.
