Installation Note 38176: Installing the SAS® Disk Cleanup Handler utility requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
The SAS Disk Cleanup Handler utility requires that you also have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your computer. If you install the utility before installing SAS® 9.2, the .NET Framework might not be installed and the utility does not work.
When you enter cleanmgr at the command prompt, the SAS Disk Cleanup Handler searches for and cleans any temporary files that SAS generates as well as files in SASWORK location "!TEMP\SAS Temporary Files".
To verify this condition, check your Windows Explorer Control Panel Add or Remove Programs list—the SAS Disk Cleanup Handler is included in the list but the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is not included in the list. If this is the case, then remove the SAS Disk Cleanup Handler utility and then install the .NET Framework 2.0 from the Microsoft Download Center Web page for the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package.
After you install .NET Framework 2.0, reinstall the SAS Disk Cleanup Handler utility. Your SAS temporary files locations should now show when you enter cleanmgr at the command prompt.
