Problem Note 38007: The Configuration Failure dialog box might appear during an installation of SAS® Enterprise Miner™ 6.1
When you are installing SAS Enterprise Miner 6.1, the Configuration Failure dialog box such as the following one might appear:
The configuration failure might be caused by the configuration script occupying too much memory. The configuration scripts are launched with the Java setting of -Xmx1024M by default. You can reduce this value to work around this issue. On the command line for the SAS® Deployment Wizard, submit the following command:
setup.exe -javaoptions "-Xmx512M"
This command reduces the maximum Java heap size to 512 megabytes (MB).
