Usage Note 37941: Disk read failed on specified operation
Valid partition names in a Scalable Performance Data Engine (SPDE) library look like:
filename.mdf.0.p#.v#.spds9
filename.dpf.fuid.p#.v#.spds9
filename.idxsuffix.fuid.p#.v#.spds9
filename.hbxsuffix.fuid.p#.v#.spds9
For full explanation, see SPD Engine Component File Naming Conventions
There are several ways this message can be produced.
If a file is created in the directory with
- a FILENAME that fits the format of SPDE files, but is not written by SPDE
- a FILENAME that is written by SPDE on a different platform or operating system
Use the directory or directories assigned to an SPDE library only for data sets written by the SPD Engine.
SPDE should ignore any data sets or files that are not SPDE, but this is not a good practice.
