When you generate profiles using SAS Size Profiling, you might notice identical distributions for parent and child nodes when the parent node is at the root level. Typically, the profile generation module compares the distributions of each node to the distributions of its immediate parent node. If they are the same, the child node inherits the profile from its parent. However, there is an issue with this comparison between the root node and its immediate children causing identical profiles to be visible in the user interface.
There is no workaround for this issue. However, there are no harmful effects to having identical profiles at both parent and child nodes in this scenario.
