After performing a SAS^® SAS Financial Management or SAS Human Capital Management 5.1 installation and verifying the installation with the sample data, run the attached script(s) from the Downloads tab for the solutions(s) you are installing to restore the database to the default state; that is, the state the database was in immediately following installation and configuration.

Running the restore_original_install_data_fm.bat script cleans up and recreates all the tables in the Detail Data Store (DDS), the staging tables (stageDDS), and the SASSDM MySQL database schema for SAS Financial Management.

Running the restore_original_install_data_hcm.bat script cleans up and recreates all the tables in stagedds, DDS and HCM store for SAS Human Capital Management.

To do so:

1. Run the appropriate script(s) from the Downloads tab.
2. The script prompts user to enter MySQL database and SAS Metadata Server information.

     •	DB_HOST      : Host name where MySQL runs     
     •	DB_PORT      : 3306 is a default value during the MySQL installation
     •	DB_USERID    : MySQL database user ID
     •	DB_PASSWD    : MySQL database password
     •	META_USER_ID : SAS Metadata User ID
     •	META_USER_PW : SAS Metadata User Password

3. For SAS Financial Management:
   

   The batch program, restore_original_install_data_fm.bat, calls registration programs in SAS. So the location of the <sas.exe>, SAS configuration file, and registration programs must be correctly assigned in the variables below. If any of the variables do not have the correct file location, the batch program does not start and quits the program. If so, you will get an error message stating which file location was wrong. Please modify the assigned location in the batch file and go back to step 1 to re-run the batch program. Here are the variables in the batch program and file names to be modified for correct location.

   
   

        •	SAS_EXE          : sas.exe
        •	SAS_CONFIG       : sasv9.cfg 
        •	REG_STAGEDDS_DDS : register_stagedds_and_dds.sas 
        •	REG_COMMON       : register_common.sas
        •	REG_ODCS         : register_odcs.sas
        •	REG_FM           : register_fm.sas
        •	REG_OP           : register_opplan.sas
   
   

   Please note that no space is allowed before and after the “=” for the set statement in the batch file.

   The batch script, restore_original_install_data_fm.bat, executes <register_stagedds_and_dds.sas>, <register_common.sas>, <register_odcs.sas>, <register_fm.sas>, and <register_opplan.sas>. The locations of these sas programs are hard coded in the batch program. If any of the locations are wrong, the batch program will output an error message and will not run. When a program location is not correct, please modify the variable values and run the batch program again.

4. “Program finished” message will be shown at the end of the script. Execution logs will be generated as <register_stagedds_and_dds.log>, <register_common.log>, <register_odcs.log>, <register_fm.log>, and <register_opplan.log>.
5. For SAS Human Capital Management:
   The batch program, restore_original_install_data_hcm.bat, calls registration programs in SAS. So the location of <sas.exe>, SAS configuration file, and registration programs must be correctly assigned in the variables below. If any of the variables do not have the correct file location the batch program does not start and quits the program. If so, you will get an error message stating which file location was wrong. Please modify the assigned location in the batch file and go back to step 1 to re-run the batch program. Here are the variables in the batch program and file names to be modified for correct location.

        •	SAS_EXE          : sas.exe
        •	SAS_CONFIG       : sasv9.cfg 
        •	REG_STAGEDDS_DDS : register_stagedds_and_dds.sas 
        •	REG_HCM          : register_hcm.sas
   

   The batch script, restore_original_install_data_hcm.bat, executes <register_hcm.sas>. The location of this SAS program is hard-coded in the batch program. If the location is wrong, the batch program will output an error message and will not run. When a program location is not correct, please modify the batch program and run the batch program again.
   
   After loading the sample data, you must re-create the SAS Human Capital Management cubes and Information Maps. For more information, see the SAS Solutions Services 5.1 Data Administration Guide.

6. “Program finished” message will be shown at the end of the script. Execution logs will be generated as <register_stagedds_and_dds.log> and <register_hcm.log>.
