Problem Note 37629: SAS® Marketing Automation might return "ERROR[1017] You are not authorized.." when it tries to write contact history data to an HP Neoview database
SAS Marketing Automation might return the following error when it attempts to write contact history data to an HP Neoview database:
MPRINT(MACRTLIB): libname dbtmplib NEOVIEW CONNECTION=SHAREDREAD
SERVER='xxx.xxx.xx.xx' USER=[userid]
PASSWORD="[password]";
NOTE: Libref DBTMPLIB was successfully assigned as follows:
Engine: NEOVIEW
Physical Name: xxx.xxx.xx.xx
ERROR: Error attempting to CREATE a DBMS table. ERROR: CLI execute error:
[HP][HP ODBC Driver][HP Neoview Database] SQL ERROR:00*** ERROR[1017] You are
not authorized to perform this operation.
[YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:xx].
NOTE: The DATA step has been abnormally terminated.
NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
This error is triggered when you do not enter a schema as a database upload option in the SAS Customer Intelligence® plug-in for SAS® Management Console. These database upload options are specified in the Business Context section of the plug-in. When you use an HP Neoview database and leave this value blank, the contact history upload defaults to Neoview's USR schema. The user account that owns the contact history stored process connection is unlikely to have valid permissions to the USR schema.
