Problem Note 37534: Graphics output might not display in the remote browser window when SAS® is running in DBCS mode

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
Graphics output might not display in the remote browser window when SAS is running in double- byte character set (DBCS) mode. This typically occurs when using device drivers such as GIF and PNG with the ODS HTML statement. Instead of displaying the graph, the only thing that appears in the remote browser window is a red "X", indicating a broken HTML link.

This problem only occurs when using the DBCS version of SAS.

To circumvent the problem, do one of the following:

  1. Create your HTML output using the ACTIVEX or JAVA device driver.

  2. Create your graphics output in a format other than HTML (such as PDF or RTF).

  3. View your HTML output outside of SAS.
