Problem Note 37477: An incorrect value might be inserted into an Oracle SMALLINT data type when you use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC on a Linux platform
When you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC in a Linux operating environment to access an Oracle RDB database on another platforman, an incorrect value might be inserted into an Oracle SMALLINT data type. For example, you insert the number 1234, but the value is stored incorrectly
as 1 in the database.
