Usage Note 37418: You must use a hyphen with command-line options in the SAS® Deployment Wizard
When you run the SAS Deployment Wizard, you must use a hyphen (-) to separate the values of command-line options. Many users copy and paste options from published Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Outlook files. However, when these options are copied from their original sources and then pasted into the SAS Deployment Wizard, the hyphens appear to be correct, but are not. The result is that the hyphen is converted to an en dash (–), which is slightly longer than the hyphen.
When an en dash is used with the option, the following error message appears:
The following command line arguments are not valid:
"first option containing the en dash"
To resolve this error, type the option into the SAS Deployment Wizard so that the hyphen is not converted to an en dash or another special character.
