Problem Note 37071: The host name for the JAAS configuration of application server and remote services must match
During the configuration for Web authentication, logging on to SAS® Web applications might fail and the following error message might be generated:
"No principal was found to initialize the Information Service connection."
This problem occurs if the SAS
® Metadata Server host names in the Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS) configurations for SAS Remote Services and the application server do not match. The host names must be identical in all JAAS configuration locations, and it is recommended that you use a fully qualified host name.
JAAS configuration locations include the directory SAS-config-dir/Lev1/Web/Common/login.config and the Web application server's JAAS login module configurations, which are specified during the configuration for Web authentication. During the configuration for Web authentication, inconsistently specified host names in the JAAS configurations can cause the following error: "No principal was found to initialize the Information Service connection."
