Usage Note 37042: An error occurs when you try to query a Caché database using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC
In SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC, the following error might occur when you assign a libref to the InterSystems Caché database and use the ODBC driver to reference a database management system (DBMS) table:
ERROR: CLI open cursor error: [Cache ODBC][State : S1000]
[Native Code 114] [C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\sas.exe]
[SQLCODE: <-114>:<One or more matching rows is locked by
another user>] [Cache Error: <%
0ABk2+10^CacheSql827>] [Details: <ServerLoop - Query
Fetch>] [%msg:<Unable to acquire shared lock on table
mydb.dbtable for RowID value: nnnnn>]
The error occurs when you submit code similar to the following:
libname mydb odbc dsn=Cachedb schema=db_schema access=readonly;
data test;
set mydb.dbtable;
run;
To avoid this error, specify the option READ_ISOLATION_LEVEL=RU in the LIBNAME statement, as shown here:
libname mydb odbc dsn=CacheDB schema=db_schema access=readonly
read_isolation_level=ru;
