Problem Note 37999: SAS BI Portlets might fail when you log back on to the SAS® Information Delivery Portal using the same browser window as a previous session
If you log back into the SAS Information Delivery Portal from a browser window where you had previously used the Portal, the SAS BI Portlets might not display correctly. Instead, you might encounter one of the following errors:
com.sas.portlet.container.components.invocation.impl.PortletWindowFactoryImpl.setInCache
(PortletWindowFactoryImpl.java:228)
com.sas.portlet.container.components.invocation.impl.PortletWindowFactoryImpl.getPortletWindow
(PortletWindowFactoryImpl.java:95)
...
or
sun.rmi.transport.StreamRemoteCall.exceptionReceivedFromServer(StreamRemoteCall.java:247)
sun.rmi.transport.StreamRemoteCall.executeCall(StreamRemoteCall.java:223)
...
In addition, the JBoss server log will contain the following exception:
INFO [STDOUT] 2009-07-24 10:21:33,705
[http-0.0.0.0-8080-6]
ERROR [2577070fa5ac05b2:cbbb173:122a908cc2a:-76a3sasdemo]

com.sas.portlet.container.components.invocation.InvocationException:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.sas.portlet.container.components.invocation.impl.SingleThreadedInvokerImpl.invokePortlet(SingleThreadedInvokerImpl.java:233)
...
As a workaround, either refresh the browser window or log out of the Portal, open a new browser window, and invoke the Portal in the new window.
