Problem Note 37682: You cannot sort or filter on missing values (.) and special missing values (.A-.Z) in the SAS Universal Viewer
In the SAS Universal Viewer, standard missing data shows as a blank instead of 0. In the data set, the missing value is stored as a period (.). However, you cannot sort or filter variables with missing values in the SAS Universal Viewer. You also cannot sort or filter on special missing values, which are designated as a period and a letter (.A-.Z) or as an underscore ( _ ), in the SAS Universal Viewer.
A workaround is not available for this issue. A fix is planned for a future software release.
