Problem Note 37484: Performance and data-integrity issues are possible with the REREAD_EXPOSURE=YES and UPDATEBUFF= options in SAS® 9.2
In SAS/ACCESS® 9.2 Interface to Oracle, you might notice performance and data-integrity issues when you use a MODIFY statement in a DATA step. Incorrect rows might be updated. In addition, it might take unusually long for the updates to take place when you use the UPDATEBUFF= option or the REREAD_EXPOSURE=YES option when you try to update an Oracle table.
No errors are generated. However, if you check the rows, you will see that rows are updated that should not have been updated, while rows that should be updated are not.

Note: This issue has been fixed in the third maintenance release for SAS® 9.2 (TS2M3).
