Problem Note 37483: An error occurs when you connect to Oracle from SASĀ® 9.1.3 with an Oracle 11g client on an Itanium machine in an HP-UX environment
When you connect to Oracle from SAS 9.1.3 with an Oracle 11g client on an Itanium machine in an HP-UX environment, the following error occurs:
Error: Could not load /tmp/sasora (32 images loaded)
SAS 9.1.3 does not provide a sasora module that is linked against an Oracle 11g client. If you use the sasora moduled that is linked with Oracle 10 (orh6i10) with an 11g client, the following errors are genereated:
libname o oracle user=scott pw=tiger path=oraclev10;
Could not load /tmp/sasora (32 images loaded)
Error: Unsatisfied code symbol 'sem_destroy' in load module
'/tmp/libclntsh.so.10.1'.
ERROR: The SAS/ACCESS Interface to ORACLE cannot be loaded. ERROR: Image SASORA found but not loadable.

SAS 913 doesn't provide a sasora module linked against an Oracle 11g client. If you use the sasora moduled linked with Oracle 10 (orh6i10) with an 11g client, you'll get an error
