Installation Note 37402: An Alerts-portlet error occurs and SAS® BI Dashboard alerts fail when you reconfigure Web applications without reconfiguring the application serve
If you apply the second maintenance release for SAS® 9.2 (TS2M2) and you then reconfigure the Web applications without reconfiguring the JBOSS application server, the following problems occur:
- The Alerts portlet displays a 404 error.
- You cannot save a new indicator nor a new alert. When data changes to trigger an existing alert, that alert is not received by SAS BI Dashboard.
If you try to perform alert-related functions in SAS BI Dashboard and SAS® Information Delivery Portal, the following warning message is written to the JBoss server's log:
2009–08–10 09:56:26,647 INFO [STDOUTΣ 2009–08–10

- On the machine where TableServer is running, navigate to the Config/Lev/SASTS/Content directory and either delete or rename the SharedServices.fdb and SharedServices.fdb.lck files.
- Restart the TableServer process and then either continue, restart, or start your configuration process.
