Usage Note 37384: Recreating a SAS® IT Resource Management information map
The easiest way to recreate a SAS IT Resource Management 3.1.1 information map is to delete the information map from within the data mart in which it resides. The next time the aggregation job executes, it will detect that the information map does not exist and recreate it.
To delete an information map:
- Sign on to SAS Data Integration Studio as the administrative user (SASADM).
- Expand the ITMS repository, and under the
ITRMSoftwareTree select the data mart in which the information map resides.
- From the Information Maps folder, select the information map, and right-click to select it for deletion.
Another option is to manually force an information map to be recreated by the aggregation job. Edit the job on the server side by adding the SAS® statement, %LET RUNINFOMAP=YES;, before the %IF statement, %if (&runifomap=YES) %then %do;, found in front of the information map that needs to be recreated. The next time the aggregation job executes, it is forced to create the information map. Because creating an information map can be resource intensive, remove or comment these modifications when the aggregation job has run successfully.
As always, make sure you have a working backup copy of your data mart before you make any modifications or deletions.
