Problem Note 37153: SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit 1.2 - CDISC-SDTM validation check results might report incorrect RESULTSEVERITY values
SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit CDISC-SDTM validation check results might report incorrect RESULTSEVERITY values.
You might encounter this problem when running SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit CDISC-SDTM validation under the following conditions:
- A check has multiple sources (for example: SDTM0001 has both a WebSDM and a Janus checksource).
- The RESULTSEVERITY is different for these multiple check instances.
- Multiple check instances for any given check are run.
- An error is detected and reported for any check that is not the last check instance.
For example, the SDTM0001 Janus check has a RESULTSEVERITY value of "Note". The SDTM0001 WebSDM check has a RESULTSEVERITY value of "Warning". Any error detected when the Janus instance of SDTM0001 is run will have a reported RESULTSEVERITY of "Warning" instead of "Note". A SAS merge code error incorrectly returns the last RESULTSEVERITY in all such cases. Note that the reporting that an error has been detected is correct.
A workaround is to avoid running duplicate checks, but specifically those with different RESULTSEVERITY values.
