Installation Note 37098: A special command is required to restart the SAS® Remote Services after you apply a SAS® 9.2 maintenance release
After you apply a maintenance release to a SAS 9.2 installation, the following error might occur in the Web application-server log when you attempt to invoke the Web application server:

If this error occurs, many additional errors are displayed later
in the log. When the error occurs, the SAS Web applications will not start successfully.
The error occurs if the SAS Remote Services are not started properly after the maintenance release is installed.
To restart the SAS Remote Services properly, enter the following command at a DOS prompt:
SAS-configuration-directory\
Lev1\Web\Applications\RemoteServices\RemoteServices.bat restart
