In SAS^® OpRisk Monitor, a hot fix is available to provide new functionality that gives you the ability to specify primary dimensions to use for comparing a form-based assessment operational risk area (ORA) to risk ORA. These dimensions are used when determining whether a risk is located at or below the assessment ORA, and when choosing assessment participants.

To specify the primary dimensions for form-based assessment, follow these steps:

1. Enable the following option in configdata.properties:
   monitor.rcsa.riskSelectionPolicy.useOnlyPrimaryDimensions.enabled

   Set this option to to 'true' to consider only the primary assessment dimensions.

   Set this option to 'false' to consider all assessment and risk dimensions.

   Note that the value of the option monitor.rcsa.riskSelectionPolicy determines whether or not risks can be selected for an assessment.

2. Use the <dimension> element "primary = true" attribute in dimensionality.xml to specify primary dimensions. For example:

   If no dimensions are set as primary, they would all be considered primary.

   If a dimension is marked as primary, it is required.

When you select the risks to add to an assessment, the filter ORA is initialized using only the primary dimensions.

If the assessment owner or assessor attempts to populate a risk that has a location that is not equal to the assessment ORA (using only the primary dimensions), a pending copy of the risk is created at the assessment location (using all dimensions).

If the assessment ORA is changed, and if there are populated risks, then copies of the risks are created only if the risk ORA is no longer equal to the assessment ORA (using only the primary dimensions).

When selecting participants for the assessment, only the primary dimensions will be used for displaying lists of users. Since the list of primary dimensions is a subset of all the assessment dimensions, this display might show fewer users.
