Problem Note 37001: "Multiple-Step Operation Generated Errors" when using DBMS tables in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
In SAS Enterprise Guide, if you use either File ► Open ► OLEDB or File ► Open ► ODBC to open a DBMS table such as Oracle, you might get the following error:
ERROR: Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.
Typically, the error occurs after the table has been added to the process flow and you try to either export the table to a SAS library or open the Query Builder. The cause of the error is bad data (for example, a date value of 1/28/0009) in the DBMS table.
Currently, the only workaround is to remove or correct the bad data in the DBMS table before opening it into SAS Enterprise Guide.
