Problem Note 36861: The error "Assessment Period is Required" occurs when you edit a KRI Observation

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® OpRisk Monitor, you might get the following error when you attempt to edit a KRI Observation Request:

Assessment Period is Required

The only option presented is to cancel your edit.

You will receive the error if both of these conditions are met:

  • You created a KRI Observation and you did not enter an assessment period value.
  • You updated the validation.xml configuration file so that it requires an assessment period for a KRI Observation.

Two ways to work around the problem follow:

  • Ensure that the assessment period is optional in the validation.xml configuration file.
  • If you are planning to require an assessment period, first ensure that any existing KRI Observation has an assessment period entered.
