Problem Note 36492: Dimension not available or "No values were returned for this table" message appears when viewing reports
If you apply object security or member level security, which can also
be referred to as row level security, to your SAS® Profitability
Management report, you might find that the Dimension is not available or the
Dimension is not usable in SAS® Web OLAP Viewer for Java.
If you apply object security to a top-level dimension member in SAS®
Management Console and try to view your report in SAS Web OLAP Viewer for
Java, the dimension might not be available under "Available Items."
If you apply member level security on a dimension using custom MDX code in
SAS Management Console and try to view your report in SAS Web OLAP Viewer
for Java by moving the dimension to either the rows or columns under
"Selected Items" and selecting the Apply button, you might get the following
error:
No values were returned for this
table.
Depending upon the security applied to your report, the behavior you
experience might be different than descibed above. The fix available with
this SAS Note will only resolve your problem if you are using the SAS
Profitability Management client to generate an information map, either through
use of the 'Calculate Model' icon or the 'Generate cube' selection at the
Reports workspace.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
