Problem Note 36472: Incorrect data input can be produced from a comma separated value (CSV) file in a Japanese EUC-JP session of SASĀ® if the data is misread
When reading a CSV file in a Japanese EUC-JP session, the half-width katakana and comma delimiter might not be recognized as DBCS characters and a delimiter. This can cause incorrect data input.
A possible workaround is to edit the raw data file to include a trailing blank character before each comma.
