Problem Note 36240: Spend dollar amount displayed in approval screen does not match calculation
The spend dollar KPI value displayed on the approval views in SAS® Markdown Optimization might be inconsistent with the expected value based on the formula:
spend dollar = affected units * (baseline price – plan price)
You might also see markdown recommendations associated with $0 spend indicating that a problem exists. This issue typically occurs when a new optimization run does not recommend any price change, but price changes exist for previous optimization runs. Old price changes incorrectly remain in the database and thus cause incorrect spend dollar calculations.
There are no error or warning messages to indicate this problem.
