Problem Note 36711: Opening a job in SAS® Data Integration Studio 4.2 may result in ERROR: Reading Metadata Null
If you encounter the error:
"ERROR: Reading Metadata Null"
when you open a job in
SAS
® Data Integration Studio 4.2, the THREADSTACKSIZE for the –OBJECTSERVERPARMS option
in the SAS
® Metadata Server configuration file might not be set, or using a wrong value.
To circumvent this problem, follow these steps:
(the following steps apply to all operating systems)
- Stop the SAS Metadata Server.
- Go to the SAS Metadata Server root (.../Lev1/SASMeta/MetadataServer)
- Edit the file sasv9_MetadataServer.cfg and look for the line
objectserverparms.
- Add threadsstacksize=4000000 to the -OBJECTSERVERPARMS line.
For Example:
-objectserverparms "cel=credentials protocol=bridge port=8561 threadsmin=9 threadsmax=9 classfactory=2887E7D7-4780-11D4-879F-00C04F38F0DB trustsaspeer='MetadataServer\trustedPeers.xml' threadsstacksize=4000000"
- Save the file and restart the SAS Metadata Server.
