Problem Note 36541: No error is generated when you use PROC TSPLTRANS to generate scoring function names that exceed the maximum number of characters for the database
The Teradata database has a limit of 30 characters for names such as columns or user-defined functions (UDF). As such, the TSPLTRANS procedure should produce an error message when it generates scoring function names that are greater than the maximum number of characters allowed by the Teradata database.
An error is not returned in this case unless you go into Teradata and try to register the UDFs. At that point, a message is returned that says that the name is longer than 30 characters, and the UDF build fails.
As a workaround, ensure that scoring function names that are generated with the proceedure are less than 30 characters.
