In SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2, an error similar to the following might be issued when you use a DB2 client version prior to DB2 8.1 Fix Pack 7 and you apply DB2 Hot Fix E9D205 (or later DB2 hot fixes):

Hot Fix E9D205 introduced DB2 Version 8.1 Fix Pack 7 as a DB2 client version requirement, and it recommended that you get the latest fix pack that is available.

Any hot fixes after E9D205 in the DB2 hot-fix list will not function properly without upgrading. The minimum requirement is DB2 8.1 Fix Pack 7. However, SAS Technical Support recommends at least upgrading to DB2 8.1 Fix Pack 9 or later.

Hot Fix E9D205 introduced enhancements to the DB2 bulk-loading functionality that requires SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 to use the newer db2Load and db2Import interfaces, which are available only in DB2 8.1 Fix Pack 7 or later.

To resolve this error, upgrade your DB2 client to at least DB2 8.1 Fix Pack 9 or later.
