Problem Note 36320: Lock is not available error when running two concurrent Text Miner nodes performing Expectation-Maximization clustering
If you are running the SAS
® Enterprise Miner™ Text Miner node under the following conditions:
- you are using a multiprocessor server
- your flow contains two or more parallel flows that each
contain a Text Miner node
- you specified the Expectation–Maximization clustering
technique
then you might get the following data set lock error:
ERROR: A lock is not available for EMWS10._EXISTTEXTUTIL_3ABYTCT.DATA.
The problem occurs because the technique uses specific data set names. If two Text Miner nodes are running at the same time, then they might both try to access those specific data sets at the same time, and the error will result.
If the two Text Miner nodes are not run simultaneously, then the error will not occur.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
