Problem Note 36081: The UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD procedures add null values to the ends of variables when you specify a SAS view with the DATA= data set option
In SAS/CONNECT® software, when you specify a SAS view in the DATA= option of the UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD procedures, the software adds null values to the end of a variable.
If you open the file that is created by this procedure with a hex editor, the editor does not show the appropriate information, and you can see the null values for the variable setting at the end of the values.
