Problem Note 36028: SASĀ® 9.2 hot fix installation fails on OpenVMS for HP Integrity due to insufficient privileges
The Maintenance Installation Tool (MIT) used to install SAS® 9.2 hot fixes will fail to execute on OpenVMS for HP Integrity if you are not running under a privileged account, or if you have not turned on privileges.
You will be prompted for a SASHOME location, but then returned to a system prompt.
No error is issued, and the hot fix is not applied.
In order to successfully apply SAS 9.2 hot fixes on OpenVMS for HP Integrity, you must run the installation under a privileged account.
Similar behavior is seen if the SAS product being updated by the hot fix is not installed/licensed. Please refer to
SAS Note 36053.
